They are a warp capable humanoid species who lived on the moon of Andoria.  In 2161 the became members of the Federation.

Most Andorians have blue skin with silver hair. They have a high metabolism rate. They have a vulnerability to phase pulse injections that could be fatel, however they were resistant to a wide range of environmental conditions.
